St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, Thame

Inspired to be our best.....

School Representatives

From the Early Years Unit to Year 6, children are encouraged to become confident, responsible members of our school and community. Whether by acting as a School Councillor or by speaking at our weekly 'Sharing Assembly', St Joseph's helps children to develop into well-rounded individuals.

School Council: at the beginning of each school year, 2 children from each class are voted onto the Council by their classmates. The Council and the Headteacher meet once a term to discuss issues raised by classmates and to have a say on decisions made in school. They also help to carry out pupil surveys.

       Our Councillors for 2017/18

School Houses: St Joseph's has four school houses: St Francis, St Teresa, St Dominic and St Mary Magdalene.

House captains and  Sports Captains are appointed by the children in each house in the Autumn term and take a lead in school events, such as Sports Day and the School Quiz, which takes place three times a year.

Our Eco captains help us as a school to be more eco friendly by making sure lights and projectors are switched off, doors are closed and the site is litter free.
