Year 6

Welcome to Year 6! We are taught by Mr Cluett and supported by Miss Harvey.

This term we are exploring Crime and Punishment, its history in Britain and how it has evolved to become what it is today. We will be stopping off in a number of key periods of time and delving into the differences between modern and historical forms of crime and punishment.

In English, we are looking at one of the most famous pieces of writing of all time, Romeo and Juliet. It is going to require our best acting skills as we recreate iconic scenes from the play and use it as an excellent stimulus for our writing.

Our Maths topics see us delve further into division, as well as extending upon our existing knowledge of fractions and percentages.

In Science, we are learning about light and its key properties. We will start to understand how light travels as well as experiment with shadows and their formation.

Our term 3 values are to be compassionate and loving; traits that we will strive to be every single day.
