Spring 2

Welcome back! We hope you had a restful break and are ready for another exciting term of learning. We are looking forward to seeing the children grow, explore new topics and enjoy all the activities we have planned.

This term we will be learning all about Seasons—we will be exploring a wide range of exciting learning opportunities linked to seasons. Learning will focus on caring for the environment and observing seasonal changes, especially the signs of spring and the weather in the UK.

We are excited to begin this journey together and look forward to a term filled with curiosity, creativity and wonderful achievements!

Our PE day will be on a Wednesday. Therefore, please can children come to school wearing their PE kits on this day. Please note that PE days will continue to change every half-term.

Forest School

The children will enjoy forest school sessions on Thursday. Please come to school dressed in forest school clothes. They will explore the outdoors, develop teamwork and problem-solving skills and learn to appreciate and care for the natural environment.

Homework

Homework will be given out each Friday and should be back in school by the following Wednesday. The children will have opportunities to showcase their homework and creativity during our Show and Tell sessions, sharing their ideas and achievements with the class.

Reading: Your child will bring home a library book for you to enjoy together. They will also bring home a Read Write Inc (RWI) book to support their reading progress. Please ensure your child brings their library book and reading folder to school each day, as books will be changed weekly. Please sign the reading diary to show you've read with your child.
