Relationships, Sex and Health Education
At St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, we implement a comprehensive Relationships, Sex and Health Education curriculum for our pupils, with the support of Ten:Ten's 'Life to the Full' resources. Our aim is to provide children with the knowledge, skills and values necessary to make informed decisions about their relationships and health, in a safe and supportive environment.
We believe that Relationship and Health Education is an essential part of our students' holistic development, and we are committed to providing them with accurate, age-appropriate and inclusive education on topics such as consent, healthy relationships, mental health, and puberty. We recognise that these topics can be sensitive and complex, and we will ensure that our teaching approach is respectful, non-judgemental and responsive to the needs of all our students.
Through the use of Ten:Ten's 'Life to the Full' resources, we aim to deliver high-quality Relationship and Health Education that is grounded in Catholic values and promotes the dignity of every person. We will work closely with our teachers, parents and wider community to ensure that our curriculum is relevant, engaging and meaningful for our students, and that we create a culture where they feel comfortable to ask questions and seek support when needed. We are committed to fostering a positive and healthy school environment where our students can thrive and reach their full potential.
